Pokemon is the second most successful franchise of Nintendo after Mario.It is the highest grossing media franchise of all time.The franchise began its journey in 1995 as a gameboy game.From then it has produced seven genetions of video games,19 video games and an anime that has been ongoing since 1997.The net-worth of the entire franchise is 46.2 billion dollars.
The games are RPGs.The mission of the player is to defeat all the Gym leaders and the elite four to become the champion of the pokemon league.At the same,the player is expected to capture every single pokemon in the game and complete the pokedex.This basic plot is displayed in every single pokemon game although different elements are sometimes added between.The only exception to this rule is Pokemon Gowhich is an augmented reality game and players must walk areound the city to catch pokemons.
The pokemon anime is different from the game.The anime follows the story of Ash Ketchum,a young pokemon trainer who dreams to become a pokemon master by defeating all other pokemon trainers.In order to fulfill his dreams, he travels to many different region with his first pokemon Pikachu.Ash is a hardworking trainer who cares about his pokemon.However,at the heat of the battle, no matter how dangerous the opponent is, he will never back way from a fight.
